During a cruise in 2003, Helga discovered a celadon colored flat pearl necklace in a Puerta Vallarta, Mexican boutique. She fell in love with this ethereal piece. She would not let her future husband buy it for her for $900 since he had already been generous for her recent birthday. When Helga later discovered a similar piece at Neiman Marcus for $1,300 for a single strand, she had immediate regrets. This experience led Helga on a path where she found she could purchase keshi and cabochon and teardrop pearls and semi-precious stones at a reasonable price and create elegant and more affordable jewelry. |
